NORDIC STYLE

When I first viewed this home it was obvious that someone had 'had a go' at doing some renovations. Walls had been removed and a front porch closed in but as with many renovations done in the early 90's, it was all very haphazard. There were beams running in all directions, faux wood paneling on the walls and no consideration to the division of spaces.

The clients brief was to create a clean crisp kitchen that connected better to the living spaces, with a touch of natural timber to prevent it feeling sterile. The entire living area was also retrofitted with insulation and a new wood burner was located in a more suitable position.

The end result was a sleek nordic style kitchen that flowed seamlessly into the living areas creating a warm cohesive family home.
