MID-CENTURY MODERN

Mid-century modern bathrooms have stood the test of time for good reason. A focus on functionality, clean lines, and natural materials makes them both timeless and practical. 

 

In this recent renovation, we honoured the era of the home, embracing key mid century design cues. Walls were removed to open up the space and flood it with natural light, most notably through the Velux skylight that brightens the shower enclosure. Bespoke architraves and cabinetry were crafted to mirror existing details in the home, ensuring a seamless blend between old and new.

 

At the heart of the space, a custom vanity sink pairs seamlessly with  Dekton wall and floor surfaces, reinforcing the room’s minimalist aesthetic through minimal jointing. A dramatic curved mirror softens the geometry of the space, balancing the strong horizontal lines typical of the style. 

 

This renovation doesn’t just echo mid-century design, it reimagines it for modern living while remaining respectful of the home’s architectural heritage.
